Is the College of Human Ecology easier than other colleges at Cornell?

Hey ! I applied to human ec but I still don't know how competitive it actually is. Does any1 know the acceptance rate for ED at Human Ec? Also, does ur gender affect ur chances?

Is the sex ratio really that imbalanced?

I don't think gender plays a role in admissions.....if it does, it'd probably be pretty insignificantly minute.

According to the statistics from last years 2007 regular decision round

Men acceptance rate: 28.7%

Women acceptance rate: 36.0%

There WERE more women applicants significantly though, and out of the 265 students of the Human Ecology class of 2012, only 65 were men. Still though, its actually not in your favor to be male in this case.

^^^damn...sucks for me
but I think those stats that u just posted are for RD

yeah, they are. ED won't be significantly different though...if anything, slightly higher for BOTH male and female.

for ED male, it should be at least 35 percent( hopefully) and approx 40 % female. anyways, what do u think of the competitiveness of human ec compared to other colleges at Cornell?

typically humEc takes a fairly large amount of people from its ED pool
