Harvard and a few other schools say that only two teacher recs are required, yet on the common app page I have already invited my 2 teachers, and yet it still says 2 more teachers are required. It said that after I added my first as well.

okay, and for the purpose of condensing I will add my second, non-related question to this as well.

Everything I have read says to explain certain things in writing to the schools (like a miniature type of cover letter I think, and then that my test scores will be on their way…little things like that) but obviously that can not be included with the rest of my app when I click the little “submit” button. So do I just email these things to collegeadmissions@college.edu…or whatever their standard admissions email is? or is there some way to send them in a non-email format? like something they can review with my application?

First question: What had actually happened?

Second question: If you don’t want to e-mail them, consider appending your little note to your “Additional Info” document (can be uploaded in the Writing section), along with other…well, additional info :)

as to the first problem, I had technically added them as recommenders to my page, but not to the specific schools. whoops. This is why I should not fill this out after being severely affected by sleep deprivation.
