I signed up for the December ACT.
Will the colleges I’m applying to for Regular Decision Jan 1st receive my score in time?
Will I be able to see my score initially before deciding to send or not, or will I not have a choice ?
I also took the October ACT. I did well except for the reading section, which is why I’m taking the December ACT in order to superscore. When should I send my October ACT?
Not knowing your score or exact schools, I would say complete the application with the October score and send an update when you get the December score back.
@HereToHelpYou
Sept ACT: 28C, scored lower than Oct in every section but 36 writing
October: 32C (35M 35E 27R 32S 35W)
Schools: NEU, BC, Umass Amherst, Tufts
Send the applications with the October scores.
If your schedule allows, prep for Dec with a focus on Reading. That would move your super score.
@heretohelpyou why can’t I send my app with my December score? are you supposed to send it separately?
Your goal is to have a complete application, which it sounds like you do, submitted by1/1/16.
If your Dec scores are delayed (ACT has 7 weeks to release them) I do not want you to miss the deadline.
That is why I am suggesting to you to complete the application now with your October scores and send the December scores (assuming they are better) as an update.
Does this make sense?
Yeah, it does. So I should send the October scores soon right? Also-- do you think a 2110 sat superscore is better? @HereToHelpYou
Yes, send the October scores as soon as you can.
Here is the chart to convert ACT to SAT
