Is the engineering school harder or easier to get into than the a&s sincence school

So i know acceptence rate for engineering is higher than the arts and science school but does that really say anything. The average test scores for engineering is higher but again what does that say? I just wanna know what other ppl think.
My grades i think are right in the middle for both school and i think either school will work me. I wanna ultimately go to med school so i was thinking arts and science would be a good fit but the BME program at vanderbilt prepares student for med school just as well .... so what do ya think? is it easier or harder or just not comparable.

easier to get into, especially if you are female. But the work load is extraordinarily harder in BME.

If you are female it is easier because they are practically urm's in engr, and vandy prides itself on having lots of female engineers
if you are male it is harder (well, the standardized test score range is higher)

BME does have a tougher courseload and engineers have a lower average GPA, which is something you might want to consider if you are planning on med school

Hey, I'm a female and am interested in BME. While I am not applying to Vandy, I am applying to Washington University in St. Louis, Northwestern, and Stanford. Does anyone here (sorry, I just noticed that you were talking about "female/engineering school") know if the "want" of females in these schools' engineering schools, like Vandy does?

Btw, I know people hate it, but I am an URM as well, Native American. Would this help my chances at all in applying to these top engineering schools?

Thanks and happy holidays!

Yes and yes.

how hard is the workload for engineering science?
