Is the entire school compound covered by wireless

Is the entire school compound covered by wireless?

Si. senior

Technically, yes.

Officially, no.

The signal is not uniform, so you may have trouble connecting in some places. Theoretically it’s accessible anywhere, but in practice you might find otherwise.

haha that’s awesome, I have never heard school property referred to as “compound” before. I see you’re from Singapore? In the US, the only time I’ve heard compound (as a physical space) is with regards to a military installation or prison (please don’t consider school a prison). What you’ll almost certainly hear in place of “compound” is campus.

But to be clear, I actually don’t want you to drop “compound” or any other language difference, for that matter. It’s unique and a great conversation piece for when you arrive on campus; there’s a certain charm there and that’s what makes internationals so freakin’ awesome.

In Shanghai, we referred to apartment complexes as compounds. Must be an Asia thing. c:

And yeah, the wireless is spotty in some places. Trying to get on Airbears in the classrooms under Moffit is ridiculously frustrating sometimes.
