My house is 15 min away from Stanford, but I'm at coughCalcough right now, and its nearing finals. I'm a photographer, and I've always loved to go to StanFUrd to bike around and get great shots on my camera. The weekends that I go home just happen to be rainy or cloudy days that aren't that great so I haven't gotten an opportunity to go yet. Then again all the grass along 280 gets yellow soon enough.

I just wonder when the grass gets completely yellow. I just remember that summer I worked at McClatchy Hall and my friends and I tried to go to the lake only to find it all dry. LoL.

um, i think the lake is purposely dry...it used to be filled but there are an endangered species of salamanders living there or something. anyways, it's dry for most of the time from what i hear

Has anyone actually seen one of these salamanders? A worthless aside--a few years ago I went to a program at Stanford and stayed at Lagunita. Some friends from the program and I keep in touch with a blog called the Endangered Salamanders in honour of the nonexistant lake and its apparently nonexistant amphibious life.

hahaha I thought this was going to be some nostalgic plea to Stanfordites, is it really that good? Please validate my choice of Cal! I'm still sad about rejection!
