I heard A LOT of rumors going around that the June SAT is always the easiest one, while the October's is a lil' bit more difficult, and the rest are much harder. Is that true ?

I’m not sure, but the only thing would be if the curve is nicer, the questions won’t be easier or anything like that.

Perhaps because more of the top students are taking the subject tests.

There is a reason they are called STANDARDIZED tests.

Each test is pretty much equivalent in difficulty.

In regards to a curve, the curve for each test is determined before any student has taken it. This is done through the equating process. Thus, it doesn’t matter if all the smartest kids are taking SAT II’s the curve remains dependent on the predetermined criteria.

the difficulty is different for everyone. For example,I hate scientific passages ,but there are people who hate autobiographic passages

Dabigdawg72, the curve is determined AFTER everyone has taken the test. Collegeboard determines the difficulty of the test by the performance of the students on the test.

However, I don’t think June should be any easier… it should be the same…

I hate this question. If you’re capable of doing well on the SAT, the relative change in difficulty isn’t going to affect your score. If you suck and the test is easy, you’ll get a lower score for missing just a few questions and if the test is hard, you’ll miss more questions and still end up with around the same score.

The people who create the tests aren’t stupid.
