Is the Princeton Review real tests?

Is the Princeton Review composed of real SAT tests or are they just practice tests created by the Princeton Review?

If they are created by the Princeton Review, how well do they compare to real SAT tests?

I'm thinking about buying it, but I don't want to be practicing with easy tests.

Theyre not real, and ive heard that they're actually harder than the real thing

All right. Thank you. Harder is better, to some extent. Better than easier at least.

"Theyre not real, and ive heard that they're actually harder than the real thing"

This is true. On the Math sections of the practice tests, I would usually score around 660 or 670. On the real thing, I got a 710.

it is not representative of the real test either

well its good its harder so its easier when u take it on test day

ha..no it's a private company. not real tests. I think their math can be harder and english is slightly easier.

I'd debate that -- scored 800s on all the PR math tests, but had 770 on the real thing. (Admittedly, the curve was Of Suck, but still.)

The English sections generally are easier, although PR (I've found) can be a bit vague in the CR questions.

from my experience, the math section on the princeton review practice tests is harder than the real thing, but the writing/critical reading is easier than the real SAT

So basically, from all the previous posts in this thread:

Math = harder than the real SAT
CR = easier than the real SAT

So what book has CR questions that are harder than the real SAT?

mcgrawhill's reading and math are much harder than those of real sat.
and grammar and math study guides or strategies are very good.

I guess Barron's will serve for both CR and Math in terms of questions being harder. I've heard a lot about Grammatix out here in CC, haven't tried it yet, but think it can be a great deal too.

i took a pr course in the fall and imo, their tests were the most similar ones to the real thing...

i actually think that the Barron's CR questions are a load of b.s., they just don't "feel" like real SAT questions..

The old "10 Real SATs" has good CR practice passages. They can be bought used starting at approximately 25 cents (white book) and $2.50 (red book) plus shipping on used books on Amazon. Can't use them for scoring because they have analogies in the CR sections. But, lots of reading passage practice -- written by the real test writers.

Are there any sites that sell good downloadable sat practice tests?

I think people here on CC posted some, if you search around for them

spiffystars--although i advice many the same thing u just said, I myself find it pretty disturbing to search for something, since most of the times I forget what I was searching for when I start reading some other interesting post! :) However when it's simply NECESSITY, I rely on browsing a bit (but till now hardly I faced situations like that)
