I will be taking the lit test in December. I just read the princeton review book and did the practice tests. In the three practice tests I got 770, 790, and 780. But I have always heard that Literature is a hard test, and much harder than the critical reading section of the Sat. I got a 730 on the crit. But I found the literature practice tests to be rather easy and therefore scored higher on them. So I was wondering is the Princeton Review a good predictor of the test, or is it easier than the actual test?

If you're getting that good of scores on PR I think you're doing well. I've only done one so far, and I got a 670. I do better on the barron's lit tests for some odd reason haha

I am so relieved to hear this. I got around 6/7 questions wrong each time. I thought maybe the curve was more generous in th PR than the actual test. I am from Bangladesh and people here are really scared of the Literature test, and so was I. But now I feel very confident. I have also ordered the Kaplan book, and it will arrive soon. Lolcats4 when will you be taking the test and have you taken SAT Reasoning Test?

i took the lit test and received a 770. i'd say princeton review is alright and so is kaplan. barron's is a bit less accurate. however, the lit exam isn't really something that you can study a whole lot of material for so essentially every test is going to be different, different passages. practice tests are good to learn timing and get a feel of analyzing english text. i'd say train yourself to finish a test in 50 minutes, not 60 so you will have ample time on the real exam and you aren't cutting it close.
