Because if so, my S is probably screwed. He got a 530 on the Math 2 and he is taking the Math 1 in October instead. Sadly, he received a 97 in AP Calc last year and he said that he had no clue at all what was on that Math 2 test.Let’s just say that the math program is less than stellar at his school This kid is a 4.5. GPA 5th in class, etc. Please tell me that SAT subject tests aren’t sent.
When I signed him up for the Math 1 test, I put to NOT send it but I am still worried it’s going to show up on his transcript which will be sent out. Thanks all !
To my knowledge, HS transcripts and SAT/SAT subject test scores are completely different things; your transcripts shouldn’t show any SAT scores.
Thank you for your response. His guidance counselor said that they would show up. I asked her about the SAT subject tests but she hasn’t gotten back to me. If you’re right and I really hope that you are, I would love to just send his ACT scores and his one subject test that he did well in.
Son’s HS transcripts had all ACT/SAT and AP scores listed on them but the schools they applied to did not require transcripts until after they were accepted. Anyway they can be removed prior to sending them to the colleges?
Thank you. Guidance counselor said that they couldn’t be removed. I wasn’t aware about the transcripts. That is good news. Thanks again.
Beckham, I cut and pasted some wonderfully helpful and, at times, tense conversations about the AP tests and scores, the possibility of them showing up on transcripts, and the ability to confidently select which to send to colleges. It is not the same as the SAT Subject Test, I know, but I think you might want to read what the college advisor/former admissions officer, a veteran poster at CC, had to say. You can private message me, or click on my profile and send a message, or some such thing here at CC. I’ll send it to you.
Thanks. I was told that the subject tests will not show up unless you request them to. My S has gotten above a 3 in everything except Calculus in AP tests.
