Is the SC population at Clemson discriminatory to northerners at all?

I really don't know much about the school beyond academics and athletics... I'm from Boston and I'm waiting to hear back. I'm definetly not a southern girl (of course) but I would love to experience what it would be like going to school there. I'm sure it would be awesome. I just don't want to feel isolated, because I know the lifestyles can be very contrasting on some levels. I'd appreciate any first hand feedback :)

*(sorry if this comes off as an ignorant question, I just need to get my facts together and eliminate/verify some rumors of my choice schools! thanks)

I haven't met anyone at Clemson that is actually discriminatory towards northerners. I know that frats/sororities will have north/south events and other things of that nature, but no one here really looks down on people from the north. I play on the hockey team, so a lot of people I know are from up north and I haven't heard of anyone being discriminated against because of that.

I can assure you that you will find that 'Southern Hospitality' is alive and well at Clemson! The biggest adjustment you'll have to make is getting used to people being so 'gosh darn' friendly & nice (I'm a northerner, too.) The sorority system is a presence and you will find many 'legacy' sisters, but it is by no means dominant on campus. Actually being a non-sorority girl opens up a lot of frat party opportunities :)
