is the second half of the r&c supposed to be harder than the first

im thinking of using my ap score to skip out of part a, and then take r5b in either german, scandinavian, or slavic. However, im hoping to go premed and i know that, 4 most meds, you need 6 hours (or 6 units, i guess) of english, to be taken undergrad without ap. Bc of L and S requirements, I'll need to be taking another english anyway so will taking r5b and whatever other english requirement fulfill the 6 hours/units?

and will skipping r5a put me at any sort of disadvantage in the classroom of the r5b course or in med schools' eyes?

anyone?????????

The 1st half is not necessarily any harder or easier than the second half. The one difference I know that is constant between all R&C classes is that the 2nd half is more focused on research and the 1st half isn't, so the second half will require you to research from novels, articles, etc to help write your papers.
