I have not received any decisions yet but I was wondering if a small envelope is always a sign of rejection. I am not sure if the envelope differs between transfer and freshmen applicants. Anybody know?

why not open the envelope and find out :-)?

I would hate to be waiting for a school that didn't post decisions online. I know I'd be looking out the window all day for the mailman and freaking out constantly.

I am waiting for 4 of them.

most decisions come in a big envelope. big envelopes = a good sign. i've received 5 acceptances so far, and 4 of them were from big envelopes, 1 from small.

yea big envelope = acceptance

Or a rejection in 24 point font.

well i knew that a big envelope meant acceptance but i wasn't sure if acceptances were sometimes sent in small envelopes as well.

small envelopes can also mean waitlisted, deferred, or hold. Big envelopes are always acceptances though

i heard UCLA's acceptance letter is a small envelope so good thigns sometimes come in small packages :) unless it says REJECTED in the front.

jL-Congrats!! Can you tell us what schools you've gotten into.

i got a small envelope acceptance letter. it was a cal state though. it had like 5 or 6 pages in it while UCI's hugeass envelope only had 2.

Hey... the calstate acceptance letters are contained in small envelopes so it is not always a bad sign.

georgetown acceptance comes in a small envelope

the only cal states I have heard people gettin rejected from are SLO and Long Beach haha

Yeah... I have heard a person who got in UCI but rejected by Calstate Long Beach.

Don't underestimate the Calstate system; they are not so bad as you might think. UCs have better research centers but calstate system focus on hand on experiences and get their students ready for real jobs. I have heard this many times from many of my professors.

UC's = more prestige better recruiting.. except for SLO which should be a UC.

I heard Cornell's acceptances are in a small envelope, can anyone verify this?

i got a small letter acceptance from four schools i applied to a while ago.

anyone know about WashU's envelope?
