Please respond to one of the following essay topics: A, B, or C. We prefer that you limit your response to 500 words maximum, and that you avoid repeating the essay submitted for the Common Application.

Tell us about an intellectual experience, project, class, or book that has influenced or inspired you.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, and why?

French novelist Anatole France wrote: “An education isn’t how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It’s being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don’t.” What don’t you know?

A was the same as the class of 2013’s application. I rocked it. I dunno about B, and C sounds familiar. (either people posting “what don’t you know” here or maybe I saw it and didn’t choose it).

Last year was the first year 3 choices were given. The year before was the first time Brown went common app and had an extra essay, which was #1. Before that, the application was the same for decades.

Honestly, the ONLY people who know what this year’s essays will be work in admissions. Since the app and essays have changed twice in 2 years, there is no guarantee what the essays will be this year.
