<p>This is total bs. Why are people getting an extension for their screw ups. A crash happens EVERY SINGLE YEAR, people should know better and submit on time.</p>

About 1,500 applicants were using the online application system Monday night when it failed, said UC spokesman Peter King. But the system is designed to handle 5,000 users at the same time. </p>
