<p>This really isn’t an appropriate topic for parents, but why should that stop us?</p>

<li><p>From personal observation, there are plenty of nice-looking women at Chicago. Whether proportionately it’s more or less than at USC, Dartmouth, or UIUC, I don’t know.</p></li>
<li><p>From personal observation, whatever the percentage of nice-looking women is, it’s somewhat higher than the percentage of nice-looking men. That’s not because of genetics or anything, it’s because the women on average spend more effort (even if it’s not necessarily a lot of effort) on personal appearance and personal hygiene. (And I suspect the disparity gets worse if you could somehow limit the comparison to straight people.)</p></li>
<li><p>To Hunt’s list, I think you really have to add being an interesting person and doing interesting things. Because if all you are going to do is gawk and perhaps hit on people, that’s creepy. </p></li>
<li><p>Luckily for everyone, nature has wired you to get attracted to the people who are available to you on a regular basis. Whatever your orientation, I guarantee that your libido will work fine at the University of Chicago. And if it seems to be lagging, a combination of dim lights, dance music, physical proximity, and a modest amount of alcohol has been known to increase dramatically the number of hot people in the immediate vicinity. All of that is easily available at Chicago, too.</p></li>
