I am a general psychology major
How good is the program?
Area?
School?
Kids?

I’ve never heard of it, and I lived in Fairfield County at least half of my life.

It depends what you mean by “good.” I checked out their CDS and website. It looks like most of the student body are C/B students in HS, with SATs in the 400-599 per section range. They do not consider class rank. The website makes it clear that their focus is on making what one might call practical connections between the classroom and the working world. There are respected schools, such as Kalamazoo College and Northeastern, that share this philosophy to some degree. It seems that the school would be good for someone who wants to get a job credential, and not good for someone who is interested in a more intellectual experience. I have no opinion of their psychology program, but it is described in detail on the website. Again, I think it will probably depend on your post-college goals.

One thing I noted is that only 53% get their degrees in 6 years. I did not look at the financial information, such as the COA and the typical student debt at graduation. (In a school with only a 53% graduation rate, I would be worried about students racking up big debt but leaving with no degree.) If you are a CT resident, I would carefully consider whether the COA at this school compares favorably to that of the state public options open to you.
