OP, here. Son got waitlisted at Chicago - meaningless at a school that waitlists thousands. Weirdly, though, I had breakfast this morning with a friend who wanted me to promise that I wouldn’t send my son to Chicago even if he got in because he would be so much happier and successful at University of Michigan (where he got in EA). I think she’s right.
