I’m an Indian American kid from a moderately competitive school in the Bay Area. We have a few Ivy League/MIT/CalTech admits every year and lots go to UCB and UCLA.

I know that my GPA is not the best for one of the best LACs in the country, but I have shown an upward trend over the past four years and in the first semester of senior year I got a 4.0 UW (4.83 W). My Common App essay was jiu-jitsu and what it means to me, which I thought it was pretty unique. I also did answer all of the optional supplemental questions. My rec letters came from my AP Lang teacher (9/10), my stats and precalc teacher (8/10), and my chemistry teacher (9.5/10).
