Im (as a freshman) trying to sign up for preview and the only date they're offering is June 24,25 with the label HS/AA-2. What does this mean? Does it have something to do with the fact that im coming in with an AA?

Yeah, it is. I have a friend who is also going as a freshman with an AA, and she had the same thing, so I assume that the session is only for people with AA degrees.

Do you happen to know if it is at all different from normal sessions, besides the advisors?

I don’t think so.

“DOES IT MATTER WHICH ORIENTATION SESSION I ATTEND? WILL I BE ABLE TO GET A GOOD SCHEDULE OF CLASSES IF I ATTEND A LATER SESSION?
It does not matter which orientation session a student attends as long as the student attends a session designated for the term in which he/ she has been admitted. Specific designated sessions can be found by logging into the registration system. The University of Florida holds seats in critical courses for each session and advising block, so students at each session have an equal opportunity to register for classes.”

Hey! I attended the HS/AA preview session last year. They definitely personalize the preview session for people coming in with an AA because you have to deal with making sure your credits transfer, fighting to not have them coerce you into repeating classes, staying on track with your major, and being introduced to the idea of double majoring or adding minors since you will be coming in with a lot of credits already.
