Is there a DPT forum? Question about declining an acceptance and reapplying following cycle.

I know that for the med school app process, if you get a US MD acceptance and decline just so you can reapply the following cycle, then you may not get any interviews/acceptances.

But…trying to find out if that holds true for other pre-professional programs…in this case DPT. A friend’s DD, so far, has only one acceptance, and it’s with her “last choice” school. If she doesn’t get another acceptance, she’s thinking of declining and reapplying. So, naturally we wondering if the same negatives are associated with that.

Anyway…I couldn’t find the DPT forum, so maybe (hopefully) someone here knows. TIA

Getting into DPT is extremely difficult and more competitive with each year, especially now that a DPT is required to practice for all new graduates . I’d think long and hard before I turned down an acceptance because it’s been my experience in the therapy world that the candidates get stronger each year . With only one acceptance, I’d question how competitive she is for admission to a program. How many schools did she apply to?

try above

She applied to about 10-12, but she applied LATE…shortly before deadline. She didn’t realize that professional programs start filling their interview spots, so late applicants are often SOL.

Thanks @Jugulator20 I’ll have her post the Q.
