Is there a housing service in CC like dormitory or apartment for the students...

Probably not, your best bet is to email the CC and ask. They might be able to point you toward apartments in the area that are student friendly.

I don’t know about CC’s, but Junior colleges definitely have housing. I don’t know how extensive it is and usually it’s for athletes but you can look into that?

To my knowledge, CCs typically don’t have a housing service.

I went to three different CCs and they all had non-affiliated apartment complexes either right across the street or down the street. From the few kids I know that live in the complexes, the leases aren’t that bad, like $400-500 a month a person for a two bedroom.

It depends on the CC. Southeastern Community College has on-campus housing at both the West Burlington and Keokuk, Iowa campuses. Kirkwood Community College doesn’t have on-campus housing at the main campus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, or at any of the branch campuses, but does offer extensive assistance with locating housing in privately owned complexes near each campus.

You will have to investigate the housing situation college by college, and possibly campus by campus. Here is a link that lists all of the community colleges in the US:

My friends from HS who attend a CC (who didn’t commute) either lived in on-campus housing or off-campus student apartments with assistance from the school in getting the lease. The apts are generally right by campus. The on-campus housing is limited in most places, like at my brother’s CC where there is only one boys dorm and one girls dorm.
