Is there a limit to memory or knowledge? How much can we remember?

Some people have an extent capacity to remember things, but I have always thought that this a natural factor, or genetically inherited. Research shows that one can remember so much by practicing, so now I change my mindset about worrying whether I'll remember or not. Is there a limit so memory or knowledge, if you practice and practice memorization? If you practice remembering new things, wouldn't the old things in your head be lost? It is very abstract for me to understand these curios topic because I would surely like to remember things once I see them, but it takes practice, and that's what I'm doing right now. Does memorization expand and expand, will it give your head a headache or stress your brain? Lol, just wondering. Yea, you can get headaches if you don't take breaks but what about if you overdo the capacity?
By the way, I can remember pi 3.14 to the 150th digit, it takes me about a day to remember new 50 to 100th digits, so I predict that in about one week, I should remember pi to the 1000th digit. It will get harder because then I will have to try avoiding forgetting about already learned digits preceding the new learned digits.

There are techniques that scholars used to use before the printed word to remember. If you google method of loci or memory palace, that is one of the techniques. And yes, they would regularly walk through their memory palace to keep the memories fresh.
