Is there a limited number of credits unis accept for AP when transferring

I'm planning to sit a minimum of 8 AP subject tests in college next year to apply it to transfer. As far as I know UC campuses only accept maximum of 32 credits from AP. However in other universities, it never indicates the maximum number of AP credits they will accept for transfer.
Has anyone transferred AP credits to uni or does anyone know anyone who used AP for transfer?
And if so, does it give a higher chance of admission if u get all 5's on AP subjects than people who don't have AP subjects?

Each college and university sets its own policy about this. You really do have to ask each place separately.

If you are already in college, you should take CLEP, DSST, or other exams specifically designed for the awarding of college credit rather than taking AP exams. Most colleges and universities will accept those exams, you can take them at any time during the year, and you can re-take them after a certain period of time if you want to.
