Is there a list of all colleges/universities that are or will be closing due to Coronavirus?

I am mom to DD an international student in midwest and maybe also for others might be handy for one centralized list that is updated regularly?

The list is changing very rapidly, so if you are worried about a particular school, it may work better just to check that school’s website. Almost all schools have created a special page with relevant information and updates. When my son’s school made the decision this morning, the students received an email, the parents received a copy and the web page was updated with the same info. Not that many schools have closed in the Midwest so far. My son’s school is in Ohio, and their decision seems to have been precipitated by (1) the Ohio governor’s recommendation that colleges move their classes online (although not all Ohio schools have done that as of right now) and (2) the decisions made by many of the New England LACs.

Thanks.

The ones in the midwest that I know of are Michigan State, University of Minnesota, possibly Saint Cloud State University, possibly the University of Michigan. I know Harvard and other east coast schools are also taking precautions.

This website provides an in-depth list as well: https://www.wifr.com/content/news/List-of-colleges-and-universties–568712221.html

That list isn’t very comprehensive. My kid goes to an Ohio school not on that list and they are currently extending Spring Break and then working online.

Any list is going to be out of date in a nanosecond; the situation is fluid.

Technically going online is not closing- classes still being held but not with a physical presence. Ditto fluid situation.

All the of the schools I’ve heard about are doing online classes after the extended breaks. Some are “closing” in that they want students out of college housing…but are there any that aren’t continuing classes online? @wis75

This article mentions where colleges that are closed are being tracked:
