Is there a living learning community for transfer students? And if there is, what is it like?

I was wondering the same thing!

Bump…

Yes there is!

Cool! Do you know what dorm it’s in, or what it’s like?

I personally don’t have any experience in it, but it’s in Skyhalls, which is on south campus, but I heard it’s a nice community.

It’s South Halls 1 & 2 and when I went there to visit they are pretty much like any other dorms. They are small compacted and pretty ****ty. But, I recommend doing it because there are gonna be only transfers so you meet a lot of people like you. I’m definitely going to do it and then hopefully change next semester. Also it’s not guaranteed you will get in so you need to pay for the deposit now so you have a chance still.

My son was a somewhat older than average freshman and did not want to live in a learning community. We talked to the housing people and found out that they would cluster some older students including transfer students when planning out the housing. He had a roommate that was a transfer student and there were other older students on the floor. He was satisfied with the mix… Be sure to check out what campus a dorm is on if selecting a learning community. It is a pain in the neck if you can’t walk to any classes…
