is there a need for a third SAT 2??

if i'm done with 2 sat II and do not want to worry about it anymore this year, should i just not take the third one?

does MIT even take the third test into consideration?

There is no need for a third SAT II Subject Test. As long as you've taken one Math and one Science Subject Test, you are covered. From the MIT Admissions website:

For entry year 2007 and beyond: SAT I or the ACT with the writing test. In addition, we require two SAT II Subject Tests: one in math (level 1 (Ic) or 2 (IIc)), one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m).

to the OP: You dont need a third SAT II for MIT, but you do for HYP (if u plan to apply)...so give them if u are applying there.

if you think you can score higher than 750 on your third, fourth, fifth SAT II's (different subjects, of course)...you should definitely take them to impress top schools like HYPSM!
