Ok, so I am an up and coming junior looking at some college options. One of my choices is UPenn, however, there is one factor I must digress. I have been taking a couple evening classes at a community college all along while maintaining my IB diploma highschool curriculum. I have heard that some colleges require that even if you have yet to graduate highschool, if you took X amount of classes at a community college, you will enter as a transfer.

I have been told "a general rule of thumb is don't go over 15 credits, but if they are to fulfill a highschool requirement it is alright.

penn doesn’t accept courses from 2 year CCs, also it doesn’t give credit for many IB scores.

haha, in that case, I guess that’s a good thing. The grades are added to my GPA which is what I care about, I don’t care too much about the credit from my CC courses. Though, sad they don’t give much IB credit.

I believe that applies to after matriculation[no CC classes during a summer for example]. Penn does accept CC classes either taken before entering Penn/for a transfer student coming from a CC. A few of my friends transferred from CC and were granted the regular standing.
