Is there a point in filling out a fafsa for me?

I most likely won't qualify for financial aid from UT, so I'll probably just be getting loans from the bank...

I'm just waiting on schoarships from UT so I dont need to fill out a fafsa (right?)

Is there anything else that not filling out a fafsa will prevent me from doing?

I have until march 31 so I need to send it asap

If you submit the FAFSA, you can get federal student loans. The Unsubsidized Stafford is at 6.8% and is in the student’s name.

It can’t hurt you. (Can it?)

it shouldn’t hurt to try. besides, if you’re prepared with all the materials you need to fill out the FASFA, it shouldn’t take too long. probably the same amount of time as a regular outside-scholarship.

Yes, absolutely fill it out. You may not be eligible for grants, but you will be eligible for loans, You may not need them (which is great!), but would be nice to know you have that all set to go for a back up. Especially in these uncertain times, it is good to have the back up in place.

Fill out FAFA. Some non-need based scholarships will automatically reject you if you haven’t filled it out.

UT will offer you loans. These will be at much better rates than any outside loans you can get, especially with the market like it is. You should take advantage of this.
