Is there a point in hoping?

I, like thousands of many other teens in North America, am a junior who hopes to receive an early action acceptance from Princeton this December. With that being said, I just wanted some of your opinions on my chances but most importantly on what I could improve on in the 8 months that I have left.

I've also been accepted to Yale Summer Session and will be studying Poly Sci and Economics at Yale this summer.

As you can see, I don't have the myriad of diverse EC's that a lot of other applicants have. However, I'm hoping that they will recognize the concentration in the couple things I do have. I'm also hoping to do a polysci-economics dual major and I think my application "hooks" with that. Btw, some people have told me that I stand out as an Asian applicant because I've done stereotypically "non-asian" things. Is there any validity to this statement?

There’s no reason why you wouldn’t get in other than the fact that at some point, a good 5,000 of the applicants have the exact same qualifications, and then they do a lottery. Everything else seems good.

I am from Karachi,Pakistan.I wish to apply for princeton fall 2012.I have two questions…
a) related to my chances at princeton
b) related to scholarship at princeton for international students…

I achieved 9As in Cambridge ordinary level examination and just got my result for advanced subsidiary level with 2 A and 2 B.A in math and chemistry.B in biology and physics.I am planning to give ACT in October along with two sat 2 papers,in biology and math.I have been a leading senator throughout my life and I am also a member of my college’s student council.I play throwball, badminton and table tennis regularly, but we are not given extra credits or certificates for sports, here in my college.I am chairperson of the social service society at my college and have successfully comPleted voluntary work at several hospitals and organizations…inclusive if the duke of Edinburgh awards (silver)…I wish to apply to princeton for biological sciences.do I stand a chance and what should I really do to make through??

B) my father is a general physician here and he doesn’t earn much…his saving per annul may be just around pak Rs. 100000 or so after paying for medical billsfor my mother,my sister’s university fee and my twin sister will also be applying for medicine here in pakiStan .After all this ,IF I do get accepted to Princeton would it possibly give me a full ride scholarship??and would that cover for the travel expenses, boarding expenses etc.?

Please honestly let me know if I do stand a chance and if I should apply…
