is there a point to having a facebook with no wall?

If someone you know never puts any photos, any wall comments (and has no wall of their own), or status updates... is there a reason to have a facebook?

stalking obviously

Are you asking if there’s a reason for YOU to have a profile? Or that “someone you know”? I agree, they might want a profile just for keeping tabs on people. I kind of assume people like that just never even get on, personally. o.O;

I am on facebook all the time, but I can honestly not remember the last time that I posted on someone’s wall or added a picture (actually, I’ve never added a single picture of myself. They are all tagged). I use it just to chat, to message people, to stay up-to-date on club information, and to play a game or two. It’s a nice way to keep intouch with family and friends. Just because YOU don’t see what I’m doing doesn’t mean that I’m not using my fb.

Some people create facebooks but never actually go online.

of course. its called lurking.

They might also just have various privacy settings. For instance, if some person I barely know adds me, they can’t see my wall or pictures of me. If I get to know them more then I put them in a list of people I consider friends who can see more.

I’ve got things like my address on there, which can only be seen by people who I really trust.

You put your address on Facebook?

You put your address on Facebook? You must be really tough; I could never put something like that online. I remember a while ago Facebook reset its privacy settings so that, until you manually went back and changed it, everyone could see your profile by default (I don’t remember if it was your network only or everyone in the world).

Oh hi me. I use FB to message people whom I don’t have the emails for. Also, stalking.

I’m not tough… I just don’t let any idiot see it. Only my best friends. Who probably already know it.

Besides, it’s not that difficult to find someone’s address if you know their name by using the white pages.

…

If you want to stalk, yes.

I wouldn’t worry about that too much, especially if your in college. If anyone wanted your address they could likely find it in the university “Find People”. Here is a example of MSU’s:[- MSU People Search](<a href=“Michigan State University - Sign In”>Michigan State University - Sign In)

Address, phone and more is given.

Well of course, if you use primarily for messaging purposes. And then there are those pesky FB stalkers. Not that they should matter. You allowed it, to begin with.

Yes, coolbreeze, but much like facebook, you can also choose to have those directories limited. VERY limited.

Some people might just not care for it and not go online, or just made one to look through those profiles of his friends. O.O

I use facebook for events more than anything else, plus there are photos, messaging, groups, apps, etc. so yeah, many reasons.

Sorry to break it to you, but you’re on limited profile.
