Hello, my son applied to 8 UC’s for gratuate program in computer science/ engineering/robotics and he got rejected in 6 … we are super depressed and dejected… he is waitlisted in UCSC and waiting to hear from UC I … any suggestions on whether there is a possibility to get in to UCSC if waitlisted?? This is our final hope …
Yesterday it sounded like he was applying to the undergrad program at CalPoly (your post http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/cal-poly-san-luis-obispo/2066576-possibility-of-admission-to-computer-engineering-science.html) and today he is trying to get into grad school?

Hi all, today my son received an offer letter from SJSU for undeclared major… story behind: he appealed SJSU reply since the first letter(in March) from SJSU said “not accomodated… his application was withdrawn as it was not reviewed at all due to high number of applications” he applied for computer science …Today he got an email saying that he is offered to get into with undeclared major… if he accepts this how difficult is it to get into comp sci

Here is SJSU’s Change of Major policy for CS. Just remember even if he meets the requirements, there is no guarantee that there will be any spots available. I would call the department and ask how many students successfully switch to give you a better idea of his odds.
