Is there a problem with envelops not being signed?

I know this sounds a little inane and there is nothing I can do about it, but I still want to settle this uncertainty.

All my teacher recs, school reports...are not signed when being sealed. I just noticed this today when looking at the reports my friend received from other teachers.

Will this make them regard the materials as being less valid?

No, there's no problem. None of my d's envelopes were signed, and she had good results. It's not a requirement.

There are some schools where it is a requirement. Those make such a requirement clear. It would most likely have been clear enough for the people sealing the envelopes to have noticed; no worries.

Teachers are supposed to mail it directly to colleges. DD has no idea whether it was signed or not.

If the school questions the letter at all, it they can call the teacher. Don't worry.

I don't think this is important at all because I've never even heard of it...and my teachers don't do it

Thanks for the prompt replies; my heart is settled :)
