<p>frankly this reason alone would stop me from going to UCSD. I think even if I get accepted I won't go there because of the lack of transfer housing. As far as I know, almost every UC gives transfers housing options. So what's the deal with UCSD? Do they have a lack of housing or is it something else?</p>
<p>Maybe this is why so many of its own students would pick another school over UCSD. (I'm referring to the studentsreview.com site)</p>

<p>The freshmen get 2 year contracts automadically. This takes up all the room ususally. If enough fresmen drop, they move to the waitlist and fit transfers in.</p>
<p>They are currently doing construction to house trasnfers.</p>
<p>There are universities in Chicago that there isn't really enough room and they discourage transfers and 3rd/4th from staying on campus.</p>
