Probably some URMs in with 1600.

This thread is pretty old! But anyways, I saw someone in the 2013 Harvard thread who had a 1980 on the SAT I and he (or she?) was accepted :-). Never give up!

I know someone personally (i.e. we knew each other) and she got in with a 1980 SAT, and she’s a white suburban girl.

I just went through 2012 and 2013 decision threads and there is a chinese who scored 1820 on the SAT and still got in. Her rank, sat iis, and ecs aren’t stellar at all. Idk if she was lying or not, but it’s worth a shot!

^ oh boy and she was asian?? I’m suprised they didn’t toss out all asians with less than a 2350.

That person was a ■■■■■, it’s scientifically impossible for an Asian to score lower than a 2300 on their SAT.

Well said Jaddua…

hahahahhahaha I lold

Is it even possible to say “Asian” and “2300” together?

It wouldn’t hurt to go ahead and take it again, or try the ACT. Just keep trying your best

However, don’t freak out about the scores. There are people who get into Harvard with lower than what you have :)

my friend got in with a score in the 1990s! she worked very hard in school, however. she was salutatorian. also, she was a great violinist.

Clearly, havin gan SAt 2000> is not a prereq

^ Not so clear. Yes, it may not be REQUIRED per se, but I am sure it impacts the decision to be less that 2000

Of course there is. Some girl from my school got in with a below 2000 SAT score and lower than 90 average. You’ll never know if you don’t try…

Honestamente, deber
