Is there a specific website for Rice University students to look for apartments? Do a lot of Rice students live to the right of Rice University (i.e. Greater Third Ward area)? Is there a map to see where most Rice University students live?
Also, does Rice University have professor rating website and textbook selling marketplace website?

Rice students have a Facebook group where people usually post about apartments and housing off-campus. Many students live in shared houses/garage apartments in the West U area or in apartments within a 10 minute drive from campus. If you/your student is looking for off-campus housing, they will usually be able to get advice from upperclassmen about where most OC students live. However, to my knowledge, there’s no map.
We have a website called “schedule planner” where you can view class and professor ratings - during orientation week, all students are introduced to this website.
There is a group for Rice students selling things on Facebook, and usually textbooks are sold there.
Professor ratings are shown on Rice’s university Esther/class registration page
School doesn’t really have resources for finding apartments
Textbooks, there is no system you can use bookstore, amazon, or other students
I think this one still works. It did when my son was at Rice in 2011.
