Recently accepted...just wondering, how big is campus life? I know that often with schools situated in/near big cities, there's practically zero community/campus life (ie NYU). Is it the same for McGill? I'm not saying I want a school that's all about rah-rah school spirit all day long but it'd be nice if there was some sort of common campus unity.

Bump…anyone?

I was thinking much the same thing myself. It would be nice to have the city so available, as well as that sense of belonging to the campus community.

I’ve heard (I don’t go to McGill, but I’ve read a lot of student reviews about it) that there’s not a ton of school spirit, but that you can definitely find it if you look. My impression was that a lot of the “spirit” is sort of swallowed up by the city. Again, since I don’t actually go to McGill, I can’t say for sure.

Frankly, McGill lacks in school spirit and that community feel you’re probably looking for; there’s a lot of student apathy toward campus life and the like, however, this isn’t to say there is zero community, but you’ll have to seek it out.
