Now, I’m confused because my brother said that I have to take 3 AP classes to graduate with this thing called AP honors, yet everywhere I look, I don’t see anything. Is there some sort of merit you get if you take at least 3 AP classes, aside from college credit? Because he said he graduated with it.
That sounds like a school-specific thing. Check your student handbook or consult with your GC.
@AMan236 maybe you’re referring to the College Board’s AP Scholar awards??
Probably is a school specific thing, I know some schools have Class Scholars or High Honors if that’s anything?
Agreed, sounds like the “AP Scholar” thing.
Award levels:
AP Scholar: Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams
AP Scholar with Honor: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams
AP Scholar with Distinction: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams
