Is There a University like 16,000$ everything included or cheaper?

I am looking for an university in usa which has the cheapest fees for international students Is There a University like 16,000$ everything included or cheaper

You might be able to go to a community college somewhere for that price.

In the financial aid forum, there are some pinned threads at the top you can read. One is called “Very low cost oos universities” and you might take a look although there aren’t likely any as low as you are looking for. There is also a thread of full and half tuition automatic scholarships given for grades and SAT scores (some for relatively average numbers even.) Some are available to internationals. Go to the last post for a list, then go to each college website to see if internationals are eligible.

There is also Berea which is free tuition or maybe free everything (COA) through a work program but that is very competitive because of that.

Read the international student forums too.

@wolffy916‌ Go to the CollegeBoard’s Big Future Website and fill out a couple of options before moving on to paying and move the slidy-thingy to $15,000 or less (it goes in increments of $5,000).

Here’s the site: <a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/college-search</a></p>

I really don’t think you’ll find a US college that is less than $16,000 due to the fact that the only US colleges that have that price are public universities and that tends to be the price for the US residents who reside in the same state as that college.

Go to the Financial Aid forum and look at the pinned thread for colleges under $25000. There are some that would meet your target.

tell us more…

what are your stats?

what is your major?

are you saying that your family will only pay $16k (and does that include intl travel AND health insurance - which will eat up $3k)

i am an international guy , i wanna study civil engeneering for 4 years .

Yes, we know you are an intl.

what are your stats? and does your budget INCLUDE the cost of intl travel and insurance? If so, then you would only have about 13k to put towards tuition, R&B, books, personal expenses, etc.

Many colleges offer financial aid to international students, but it is competitive. In order to help you, you need to tell us what your GPA and SAT/ACT scores are and if you do have financial NEED.

I havent got any of SAT or GPA , i have only got a good certificate in high school , but i wonder if i can work in any university and get discount from them ?? :(( and thank u for all ppl who helped me

To get a student visa you need to prove that you have all four years of college covered. You can take a look at BYU.

Universities and colleges don’t call it a discount. They give aid based on your family income or aid based on your good test scores and grades in coursework in high school. There are limited on site jobs available at some universities for international students but that would only give you small amounts of money for a bit of living expenses. What country are you from? Do a web search “Education USA yourcountryname” for the office that helps people in your country figure out about applying to the US.

i am from syria , and the satuation here cant alawed me to ask :frowning: by the way thank u man

Oh my…

If you live in New York, you can go to a CUNY for less than $10,000 per year. Since you are in Syria, you probably won’t find any school that will drive down the price to under $16,000 for you.

For an international student to get a 4 year engineering degree, the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology may be among your cheaper options, at about $25K/year … unless your grades and scores are high enough either for a large merit scholarship, or to get admitted to one of the few schools that meets demonstrated need for international students. In either case, you’d probably need SAT M+CR scores of at least 1400 and a GPA of at least 3.5. Even with a merit scholarship, you might have a hard time getting to $16K for tuition, r&b, fees, books, travel, etc.

So, you have already graduated?

how much can you spend on college AFTER you have paid for int’l travel AND health insurance (about $3-4k)

yeah i have graduated , with tuition fees and living in campuss etc , same same prise . if i havent found any university i have to look for a college , so yeah

I don’t think there are such college in the US for international. However after aid, it might be possible. If you want to get admission, then take SAT. Otherwise it’s futile to suggest any university.

BYU is only around $12K per year total even for internationals, so it is possible, but you would have to put up with the BYU culture. But coming from Syria, it might not be all that different, except for the Mormon part.

Note that in the US “college” and 'university" are synonymous.
Only “community college” indicates a short course (2 years) open to all (also called “city college”.)
Since you’re from Syria, some top LACs may make an exception and provide financial aid, but most don’t offer Engineering - would studying Computer Science be fine for you?
Are you a boy or a girl? If a girl, the women’s colleges are excellent options.
BYU is indeed another possibility - it’s a very strict, religious school: no drinking alcohol or coffee, “modest” clothes and dress code, men and women can’t reside in the same dorms, being gay or in a same-sex relationship is frowned upon, etc. However, as MrMom said, it may not be that much of a shock coming from Syria as it can be for international students coming from, say, Europe.
I definitely recommend Berea. It’d be almost free your first year and you’d work on campus to help defray room&board costs. It’s a very good school.
Even if you don’t have a GPA, can you give us an idea of your academic standing - were you top 30% or first in your class, in your school, in your district? Did you attend a college-preparatory school, take the IGCSE’s? Did you ever win an academic or athletic prize? etc…
Can you move to Jordan or Turkey and reach a city where you’d be able to take the SAT or the ACT? Those scores would be enormously important.
