Is there some sort of 'status' button on your College Board/ACT account showing if colleges have received your SAT/ACT scores, or do colleges e-mail you saying that they have received them?

no, check on each school application portal

Your college on line application file will shows things received (at least for required materials, i.e., if SAT is required, your college online file may show the first one received but not subsequent ones). CB and ACT will simply confirm that it has been sent but not whether it has been received. Nevertheless, since the act of “sending” these days for most colleges consists of CB or ACT placing your scorrs in an online file that the college has with CB or ACT, meaning the act of sending and receiving are simultaneous and are the same thing, you can usually assume that if CB or ACT confirms it has been sent then it has also been received.

Thanks, you guys! If College Board / ACT sends stuff electronically, why do they have to “deliver” it, and make you pay for rush shipping? Those money-loving companies!

I just emailed all 4 colleges I requested the score be sent to asking if they have received the October score yet, or if they do before Friday to please let me know so I wont have to register my son for the Dec test, if not necessary. I will let you know if I hear back from any of the schools

1 college said they do receive them before the students but are not allowed to release the score to the student. 1 school said she was sure they would not receive the scores before we would. The other 2 schools said they have not received the scores yet but would check again periodically throughout the week and get back to me by Friday!

If you applied EA/ED somewhere, check their application portal that you have a login+password with. There should be a checklist showing what materials were received/still need to be (mine shows all SAT/SAT Subjects). My counselor told me that SAT scores are not a huge deal if they are received a few days late, since it’s in CB’s hands once they send it. So don’t worry about it :)
