Well? I'm waiting.

Well? I'm waiting.

No, now go lock yourself in your room and do not come out for four years, you'll definitely get into Harvard like that..

Two friends of mine who are incredibly social just got in ED to Yale.

Seriously, relax. Have a life. You'll regret it later if you don't.

You have to have a life if you plan on going to Harvard, because they look at EC's.

No. The best way to get into Harvard is to become an OCD Ivy League crazed lunatic with no friends and no activities but astronomical test grades and decent GPA. Go for it. I suggest you start by continually posting on college confidential about how to get into Harvard when you have three years before you should even start thinking about an Ivy.

::sarcasm:: if you didn't catch it.

CHILLL OUT. CHILLL OUT. YOU ARE NARROW-MINDED AND YOU ARE GOING TO WASTE THE NEXT 3.5 YEARS OF YOUR LIFE LIKE THIS IF YOU DON'T STOP NOW. GET OFF OF CC AND CALL A FRIEND UP AND DO SOMETHING CRAZY. GO.. DANCING. Chill. CHILL.

I didn't know anything about college admissions, colleges, or test scores or anything until this year (I am a junior).

I just chilled and kicked it with my friends and had fun with my friends. Now that doesn't mean i slacked off. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA will probably have 6-8 APs by the time i graduate, and will have around a 30 on my ACTs. As you can see i am perfectly good to go and i never worried about grades, all i did was turn in my HW on time and actually DID IT ON MY OWN, if you do that, you will understand the material and do well on tests. Now, the one problem with my Application is i don't really have any ECs (because i idn't know what colleges cared about until now) SO ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS CHILL DO YOUR HW AND JOIN A COUPLE ECS. High school is fun so enjoy it , (or you won't get a date for prom).

Hmm. . .

yes to both questions.

umm yeah...I've had a perfectly fine social life, as have all my friends, and all of us have gotten into great schools! Colleges want people, not robots. Go have fun :-)

What, is it EA or something? I don't know, as I didn't apply - I just know that they got in early and plan to attend.

Yup, Yale's SCEA

My friend was accepted (SC)EA to Harvard and she's very normal/social/kind.

OP - are you serious? You are clearly not cut out for it.

Go to UW Madison. You'll have plenty of friends there.
