I would like an honest answer, besides even if I cannot get into MIT, I can probably get into another very good university. Here is my status at the moment:

I am currently attending my first year of community college at Texas where am getting my Associate of Science degree and currently have a 4.0 GPA having completed only 6 classes so far. I moved to Texas with my sister after leaving my parents and school in Kansas. I am only 17 and I will be 18 in June.

I didn't have... The best childhood. It really doesn't matter, all that you need to know is that I suffered through a lot of depression as as a result I didn't give school any thought. For all intents and purposes I might as well have failed every High School class I was in. I dropped out of High School as a freshman before I moved here.

I have plans. Hopes and dreams. I want to help people, to make a difference in the world, if going to a prestigious university will help me accomplish my goals, that is what I am going to do. Its the reason I want to go to MIT, or any other distinguished university, but it isn't just that. I want the best possible education I can get as well. Mathematics, Computer Science, Philosophy, History, there is so much to learn, and I enjoy every moment of leaning. Most people are hungry for dinner, I have cravings for knowledge.

I am willing to study, I am willing to work as hard as I can and persevere, I will even get on a Polyphasic sleeping schedule if it will give me more time to study before I transfer.

I need your advice, I need to know what classes I should take, what activities I should get into, and who I should contact at MIT to maximize my chances of getting in. Most importantly, I need to know if it is even possible.

Thank you for your responses.
