I am a Vanderbilt sophomore and scared to death of science classes, hence the HOD major. Can anyone suggest what Vandy class (and prof) will fill my science requirement with the least amount of aggravation? I don't need the lab science, got that through high school AP. Thanks a lot.

Geology or Biology

Enviromental Geology (GEOL 100)

Thanks guys! What about Geology 100 with Ayers or Geology 108 with Gilligan ? Unfortunately, the geo with Bream is filled and I can't add it now. Would Astro 102 with Weintraub or Bi Sci 110B be a mistake, they're scheduled at good times for next spring . Thanks again.

BSCI 110b would a huge mistake if you're scared of sciences and just want an easy one. I'd just go for the the Geol 100 section with Bream (check ratemyprofessor to see how others think of him. Astronomy also has a lab, I believe.

Thanks Feenotype, will definately stay away from the BiSci. Bream's class is full, but I will email him to see if there's an extra chair or even a windowsill for me to use. Hey, good luck on your finals.

agree with feenotype on bsci. Geology would be good. I heard astronomy could be a bit boring-for the labs you basically stargaze. That's what I heard.

Well if you decided to take lab (I know, you don't need it) I'd give props for PHYS 110A LAB, mainly because the professor (Schriver) is well...my dad....
