It's as simple as this - go to uga or georgia or no college. there are no backup schools so its basically all or nothing. I need some input of what my chances are right now and already posted a thread on a similar website(college toolkit but turns out no one goes on that site anymore) Input from those who are applying to same schools, have been accepted would be much appreciated, or just anyone who knows what they are talking about. Thanks. Peace.

Dude… You know that you’ll probably get in. I think you are just showing off your stats to be honest.

But in all fairness, you may have a shot at a scholarship. Also, your scores and stuff could land you at Tech or Emory (regular decision being easier at Tech than Emory). What are you trying to major in? My highest single-sitting was a 1380 (Math/Verbal of course. if it was superscored, which GT and UGA do, It would be 1410) and I got into Emory. However, I am African American. Now, for UGA, your race should not affect you with a score that high and with that much ECs. As for Tech, not sure. GT’s mid-50 is now identical to Emory’s, and it’s percentage of Asians is either similar or greater (we have 30% in the last class). And at Emory, 30% is the amount among those that “reported”. 22% did not report the ethnicity. Let’s just guess who those were. So I’d imagine that applicant pool may be done separately. The same thing may happen at Tech. Not sure. It may be advantageous to not report in your case.

But I digress- You’ll get into UGA. If not, they are flipping coins for admissions. And I would apply to Tech and Emory if you’re interested.

wow, thanks for the good news! although, i’m a little worried about my gpa which should be 3.3 - 3.6 unweighted. that’s the one thing that people say i should be worried about:(

btw, my thread should say uga or georgia tech! sorry

I think the only negative thing is your GPA, however you do have rigorous courses. I’d say 75% chance at UGA and even higher at Tech because of your SAT. Good luck!

Yeah, Tech is your biggest concern. That’s definitely a reach. 1320 barely puts you above the 25% mark for their SATs to be blunt, and the GPA may also hold you back. But then again, they admit like 50% of applicants (but the other side of that is, those 50%, as I said before, yield a mid-50% ACT/SAT score range identical to ours, and we admit only like 25-30% depending on the year). Good luck in getting into either of them. Both are awesome. If you only get into, but you really want Tech, design your UGA schedule so that you can transfer without GT dropping most of your credits.

1330…just sayin’:)

Oh, my bad. I was tripping.

I think you’ve got a fair chance for UGA. Your SAT scores are good, your scheduling is good, and you have good EC’s. Your GPA might be below par, but everything else looks good.

uga shouldnt be a problem for u at all…

i’m about to cry…

just kidding but this really sucks though
