Is there any minimum requirement for last year grades after you are admitted by a college?

Any requirement for such will be included as conditions of your admission offer.

Sometimes, there is an explicit minimum (e.g. “minimum ___ GPA in your in-progress courses with no grade lower than C”), but sometimes, there is only a vaguely stated requirement (e.g. “we expect you to continue to maintain your high academic performance in your in-progress courses”).

Some time after final high school grades are posted (June to July), there is typically a flurry of “will my admission be rescinded?” posts around these forums, particularly from students matriculating to colleges with more vaguely stated requirements.

The typical advice is “no D’s, F’s, or felonies”, though a significant number of C’s may raise eyebrows. And it will likely vary by school and a student’s track record upon which admission was based.

For a school with a vaguely worded condition, the risk would be higher if, after three years of 3.9 GPA, your last semester or year GPA fell to 2.5, compared to if it fell to 3.7.
