Since the admission office is going to be busy until mid december for the early round, I was wondering if there is any point submitting the application before 12/15?

It gets the ball rolling but there’s no advantage per se.

^^^ I would agree that there is no advantage. However, the Admissions Office probably needs to send the Financial Aid Office a list of accepted students by about the first week of December, as the FA office must calculate estimated awards and send letters to all EA accepted students that applied for aid by December 15th. If I’m correct, that would mean that Admissions could start reading completed RD applications around the first week of December.

Thank you. Also, when are interviews organized? would an earlier submission increase the chance of getting one?

Not all applicants are interviewed – it depends on where you live and how many alumni volunteers are available in your area. But, yes, getting your application in earlier would seem to allow for more scheduling time for an interview.
