Is there any point in having a 4.0 gpa in college?

Hello all,
I was wondering if it would make any difference if I had a 4.0 in college versus a 3.5, considering I wasn’t enrolled in any honors program, and am not doing anything exceptional like double/triple majoring or at a top tier school i.e Berkely, UCLA Stanford etc. I’m simply a computer science major. Not in any clubs, jobs, or student government, just get good grades. The only thing aside from my GPA would be that I’m interning every summer over the course of my 4 years. Does the fact that I’m not well rounded or in any special program hurt my chances of getting a job in a good company, like Google or Facebook etc?
Thanks.

Getting a 4.0 in college would be fantastic. Grad schools would be tripping over each other to take you.
