Thanks!

I think u have a great shot at getting into the college, maybe not in some progs with ure gpa, but if u can raise ure gpa little, u should have no worries, do some summer research prog or take classes at a big university, i definitely would not worry at all...

dont lie. ur a junior AND a national merit semifinalist. r u assuming? btw, national honor roll is a scam. o and ur chances, great applicant except one thing, ur gpa. idk how much u can bring it up with one semester to go but try to. actually, looking over ur ec's again, i would kinda lean toward u getting accepted, so yea apply. but dont lie, ur not a NMSF.

retake the apush test since u took the ap class. ull easily get a 4 with the class

You don't think i'll make semifinalist with the 2340 I got on the PSAT? :-O (not much assumption involved when it comes to making the cutoff)

also- I know National Honor Roll is a scam, but it was free so should I even include it on my app?

yea ur going to be NMF probly, my bad, but dont include national honor roll on ur app. it is a big scam to get people to buy books and plaques. pretty smart b/c they take advantage of our natural egos (NHR whoa i must be smart!!)

Hopefully finalist (poor gpa), definite semi. anyways, thanks for the tip about NHR, I knew it was bs but I wasn't sure if it was beneficial at all.

no prob, who knows we might see each other at duke in two years if im admitted in april. good luck.

Your chances are pretty good.
If you decide that Duke is your top choice, apply ED!

dude your fine.. no on shines in all areas.. well for an odd reason they do on CC. but really high SAT scores can balance a gpa on the low side...

i think you should definitely apply

im not gonna post all my stats, but my high school gpa was a 3.44, and i just received a likely letter from duke last week

make sure ur essays are good, do something significant over the summer, get high SAT scores, make sure ur recs are really good...and apply early decision

my gpa is proof that gpa isnt everything
