Is there any point?

As of now, I am signed up for US History and World History tomorrow.

I have taken an AP US class and the US Exam, have studied extensively this week, and have taken 6 practice tests (590 Barrons diagnostic, and 750, 760, 770, 770, 780 on Sparknotes).

I have not taken an AP World class, but I did take the World exam with a small amount of studying (felt as though I did okay - better on Essays than MC)

I have not studied for World yet; I was planning on rereading my 5 steps and Princeton review books tonight and taking the 2 practice exams I have.

But is there any point? I am fairly sure I will get 750+ on US History (fingers crossed), but HYPS colleges look down on 2 exams in history? Should I just go to bed early and take US History and do Math 2 and/or Latin in the Fall?

Or should I still take both History tests?

Thanks for the input :D

take both and then still take math and latin in the fall

Just take both if you’re gonna get 750+. Hell, you’re spending all that energy to take one, might as well take two.

I’m confident of 750+ on USH, but for World, I’m thinking somewhere between 600 and 750 is what I’ll get.

Just take the one then man. IT’ll probably boost your confidence knowing you’re just doing the US history subject test, and it’ll help you focus better. Also you can always take the other one in the future right? Why waste your time taking a test you might not do well on you knaw bro? And idk about whether colleges will look down upon two histories.

Update: I just took the 1st princeton review diagnostic, I got 71 right, 22 wrong, 2 unanswered, which it translates into about a 740 (65.5 -> 66 raw score).

I’m still a bit nervous about the test; does anyone know if the PR World test is a good indicator of how one will do on the SAT II?

Thanks again.

I used PR for world and I never got above a 740, even though I got a 770 on the actual test. I think its safe to say that the PR is harder, but I don’t want to get your hopes up, just in case it isn’t. A 740 is a pretty awesome score, though.

Okay, thank you. I took the 2nd World history test and scored a bit lower (700) :(, but I think I will take both SAT II’s tomorrow regardless. To be fair, I did both SAT II for World in 30ish minutes, so hopefully I can ponder the hard questions longer and get a 750 on the exam. And I’m aiming for an 800 on US!

Thank you all for the advice, and perhaps if the news is good in a month, I will let you know ^^
