Is there any reason to take the PSAT if I'm not going to take the SAT?

<p>I'll be taking the ACT, so there's really no reason to take the PSAT, right?
I took the PLAN test last year, so I should be okay with just that... I think.</p>

<p>The biggest reason to take the PSAT, IMO, if to qualify for National Merit semi-finalist status. So if you think you have a chance for a high score, it seems worth it to me to prepare for and take the PSAT.</p>
